Press – Crisis

Press (NYT) Crisis

The New York Times (NYT) is a daily newspaper based in New York with an international readership, both online and in print. Founded in 1851, it is published by the New York Times Company and has international acclaim, winning the most Pulitzer Prizes out of any newspaper. The Times has been a key promoter for freedom of the press since the 1964 libel case New York Times v. Sullivan. It was an early adopter of an online format and has since reduced its print size. It is typically a liberal paper but tries to represent multiple perspectives.
